Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is also called Relaxation Massage. It is one of the most common massage therapy techniques in the United States. The purpose of Swedish massage not just relaxes the muscles, it improves circulation and enhances the flow of lymphatic fluid. In short, it can help to achieve the balance of circulation and physical-mental wellness. Do you need a “soothe” Massage? Get a Swedish Massage today.

Deep Tissue Massage

Similarly to Swedish Massage, Deep-tissue Massage is another popular technique. Deep Tissue uses more pressure on it to get a better result. Massage Therapists focus on the deeper layer of muscle tissues, tendon, and fascia. With this massage technique, clients get benefits from leasing chronic pain and muscle tension.

Acupressure Massage

For more than five thousand years ago, Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners had already developed and refined the meridian system. Both Acupuncturists and massage therapists use this traditional healing art to treat patients. Unlike acupuncturists use needles, massage therapists use their hands to apply pressure to trigger points throughout the body.

Practitioners believe acupressure can unblock body energy “traffic jams” and clear out the route for energy to refresh the mind and whole body. Acupressure has been used to treat sexual dysfunction, stress, and for beauty purposes. In addition, it may improve the skin, tone facial muscles, and help the body relieve congestion.

Aromatherapy Massage

Another type of well-known Massage is Aromatherapy. This practice uses essential oils to enhance psychological and physical well-being. Essential oils are usually extracted from flowers, leaves or other parts of plants. The inhaled aroma from these natural oils is widely believed to stimulate brain function. Essential oils can also be absorbed through the skin, where they travel through the bloodstream and can promote whole-body healing.

Chair Massage

Probably to most people, the first impression or experience about Massage is not walking to a massage parlor having a massage. Conversely, It is sitting on the chair in a shopping mall getting a Massage.  This method, massage practitioners use massage specialized chairs that allow clients to remain fully clothed and mostly upright.

Although chair massage is open and quick, it still empowers people to take a short and healthful break from their busy day. Researchers have shown that even these ten or thirty minutes massage breaks reduce people’s heart rates, blood pressure, and, of course, stress and anxiety levels. Now, many corporations have found that periodically offering chair massage as a benefit to their employees increases productivity, focus, and morale.

Gua Sha

Gua Sha roughly translates into English as “scraping”. Practitioners use implements to rub their clients’ backs and shoulders to increase circulation beneath the skin. Comparing with traditional practitioners who used bone, stone or horn implements, modern practitioners use plastic tools to offer their clients a less painful and more modern hygienic experience.

Medical researchers have found evidence that this simple technique encourages the body to release many powerful healing effects. For example, as the body reabsorbs the blood from the treated areas (which often appear red and blotchy for a few days), it releases chemicals that fight infection. Besides that, the other benefits may include reducing inflammation and protecting cells.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage therapists heat special stones in a sanitary solution and place them on their clients’ backs, in their palms, and even between their toes. July like the popular Swedish massage, hot stone massage therapists may use oils to lubricate their clients’ surface tissues before employing deep tissue techniques. Your hot stone massage practitioner may even rub your muscles lengthwise with the heated stones to release even more tension.

Foot Reflexology

Reflexologists massage their clients’ feet to activate inner healing. This practice bears many similarities to acupressure and acupuncture, but, again, without using any needles. Reflexology practitioners manipulate points on their patients’ bodies that correspond with internal organs. This healing modality can trigger your autonomous nervous system and increase hormone production.
